Fabian C. Villacis, O.D.
Waterbury and Prospect locations.
Dr. Fabian C. Villacis is a Connecticut native having completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Quinnipiac University in 2005. He received his Doctorate in Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2011.
His experience includes externships at the Perkins School for the Blind, Worcester VA Hospital in Massachusetts, Aran Eye Associates in Miami, and Dimock Community Health Center in Boston.
In 2012, Dr. Villacis completed an optometric residency in Ocular Disease in the Connecticut Health Care System at the Newington Veteran Affairs Hospital in Newington, CT. Upon completion of the residency, he joined the staff at Eye Physicians and Surgeons, a multi-specialty ophthalmology firm in New Haven County.
Dr. Villacis specializes in the treatment and management of ocular disease, routine eye exams, standard or complex soft contact lens fits, rigid gas permeable contact lens fits, and scleral lens fits. Dr. Villacis is pleased to accept new patients to our practice.
He is a member in good standing with the American Optometric Association, the Connecticut Association of Optometrists, and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity of Connecticut (VOSH-CT). In June 2019 he performed a mission trip here in the United States. His next mission is planned for Nicaragua in January 2020.
Dr. Villacis speaks Spanish fluently as his family is from Ecuador. In his free time, Dr. Villacis loves to spend time with his wife and their five kids. He also enjoys playing tennis, basketball, and most recently has begun running half marathons.
Albert E. Germain O.D.
Dr. Albert E. Germain is a Connecticut native having completed his undergraduate studies at Bridgewater State College. He obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 1980.
Dr. Germain was the founder of New Insight Family EyeCare in 1983. He currently is an associate optometrist at New Insight Family EyeCare and plans to continue to remain on staff for many years to come.
Dr Germain specializes in the treatment and management of ocular disease, routine eye exams, standard or complex soft contact lens fits, rigid gas permeable contact lens fits, and orthokeratology lens fits.
He is a member in good standing with the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists.
In his free time Dr. Germain loves to spend time with his wife, 3 children, and 4 grandchildren. He loves to enjoy the outdoors on his bike and is an avid swimmer.
KelLee E. Adams, O.D.
Waterbury and Prospect locations
Dr. KelLee E. Adams is excited to join Dr. Fabian Villacis and his staff at New Insight, bringing her diverse experience and passion for eye care to the practice. Dr. Adams received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Ithaca College in upstate New York and continued her studies at Indiana University School of Optometry, obtaining her Doctorate of Optometry in 2012. During her time as a professional student, Dr. Adams was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key Optometric Honor Societies. She also served on the board of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), traveling to Guanajuato, Mexico each year to provide eye care to the underserved. Her externship training included time at the Hudson Valley VA Hospital in Montrose, New York, Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, and Centro de Rehabilitación in Guanajuato, Mexico. Dr. Adams’ cultural field work and devotion to studying the Spanish language allow her to offer exams in both English and Spanish Earlier in her career, Dr. Adams worked primarily in a multi-disciplinary ophthalmology practice where she gained extensive experience in the treatment and management of ocular disease. In addition, she provided pre and post-operative care to surgical patients and managed the pediatric patient base of the practice.
Nicholas E. Sostilio, O.D.
Dr. Nicholas Sostilio graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry in 2019. He completed his clinical rotations at Somers Eye Center in New York, the Keller Army Hospital at West Point Academy, and the Newington VA Hospital here in Connecticut. During his time at SUNY, he was very active in the private practice and business management community. He was the president of the Student Optometric Association for Private Practice (SOAPP) at SUNY and the Treasurer for the national organization the Student Optometric Leadership Network (SOLutioN).
For most of his life, Dr. Sostilio has lived in Connecticut. He was born and raised in Milford, CT where he graduated from Joseph A. Foran High School in 2011. For undergraduate studies, he graduated from UConn in 2015 with his B.S. in Allied Health Sciences with a minor in Biology.
Outside of optometric practice, Dr. Sostilio loves to travel and has been to Italy, France, Monaco, and Thailand. He hopes to continue adding to that list! Besides traveling, he loves to ski, play video games,and spend time with friends. He is a huge New York sports fan: Giants, Yankees, Rangers and Knicks. Dr. Sostilio is excited to join the staff at New Insight and is accepting new patients.
